Instruction for installing Thai language support [more] For inputting Thai letters, a keyboard with appropriate key lettering should be available. However, this might be difficult to source outside of
Thailand. Source of supply for a Thai Keyboard in Europe: I, the operator of http://www.siam-info.de am not involved in any business connection with the ASIA Shops, and therefore reject any joint responsibility. Only occasional use of the Thai keyboard If you only use the Thai keyboard sporadically, it can be an advantage to possess a Thai Keyboard with USB connection. The USB connection allows you, to plug in and/or off the
keyboard during use. The German keyboard can be continued to be used in parallel during this time. If you only enter Thai text very rarely and only need to enter a few letters, you can also use a virtual Thai keyboard. Windows ME, 2000 and XP have the program OSK.exe available. You must simply enter under "start" > in the dialogue field "execute" > "OSK". In the virtual keyboard indicated on the screen, you
can select the desired letters with the mouse. The allocation of the keys corresponds to the current selected key allocation (see “Thai keyboard change-over"). In the application currently in use (e.g. text processing) please don't forget to switch to the Thai character set. |
